Once upon a time Iso-Tip, formerly known and Wahl Sterling or Wahl Clipper, provided customer’s with a desoldering tool. This item did go obsolete over the years before Senasys acquired the product line. Because we sell products to Smart Humans, we get to see these obsolete products from the 1970s still in working condition.
We had a customer contact us regarding his desoldering tool. Unfortunately we weren’t able to help with his needs of replacement parts, but he was willing to share images of his tool below. The Wahl Sterling tool removed solder joints from circuit work that need to be repaired or removed. Check out the tool below.
We have recommended customer’s can heat up the solder joint using a cordless soldering iron to melt solder and remove the joint if they are looking to remove only one or two solder joints. If it’s complete board re-work, a desolder tool may be necessary to get the job done.

If you’ve never tried one of our cordless soldering irons we hope you will. We also supply other “tools worth discovering” for heating, finish work and the tough soldering jobs. If you have a need let us know, we do appreciate input from the people that use our products. Not all cordless soldering irons and especially tips are the same. Let us know what you think, we enjoy what we do and appreciate the people we do it for.
