It’s been 12 months since Senasys purchased Iso-Tip from Wahl Clipper’s Industrial Division. 12 MONTHS. Seems like yesterday. Needless to say, we’ve been busy learning the product line inside and out. Of course there’s been a few bumps along the road, but nothing that we weren’t able to handle. (Like completely revamping the website a few times…) Take a look at the Iso-Tip website we inherited from Wahl Clipper in December 2008.
So four months later in April 2009, we came up with this:
It’s not bad, but we wanted more interaction with you. So we launched this blog, which, as you may have noticed has taken over our old Iso-Tip website. And here we are, 12 months into ownership of Iso-Tip and starting a blog. It’s exciting. We have lots of great things planned for it. You can comment on and share any of our posts, become our fan on Facebook and follow us on Twitter. Once we get the Hack Advice page up and running, you’ll be able to add your two cents there. We’ll be uploading videos, adding a How To page, product pictures (clever, right?), a full online store (eventually…for now you can find most everything through our link on Amazon or from our wonderful distributors) and a whole lot more. The plan is to create an enthusiastic community where you’ll be able to find and share insight on all things related to Iso-Tip. Have ideas or some great blogging advice for this site? We’d love to hear it!
So, Now that you are “Senasys – ISO-TIP” are you still “Proudly Made In The USA” As advertised on the old “WAHL – ISOTIP” website?
Normjr
Hi Norm!
Great question. And yes, Iso-Tip is just as much still “Proudly Made in the USA” as when Wahl was running the line.
That said, it should be noted that the Iso-Tip butane products have never been manufactured state-side. The butane products are made in Taiwan. We felt it was misleading to have “Proudly Made in the USA” on the Iso-Tip home page when in fact only the rechargeable soldering tools, solder paste and filer/sanders are produced in the United States.
Sincerely,
Sara
